How can we help?

Getting started

Do I need a business?

No. If you sell a product or a service, you can use Pavo as yourself, with no LLC. Pavo is for getting paid by customers, not for sending money to friends. Sign up with your phone number, tell Stripe where to send the money, and take your first card.

How do I take a payment?

Open Pavo and enter an amount. The customer scans your code or opens your link to pay in their browser. If you take payments on an iPhone, they can also hold their card or phone to it with Tap to Pay.

Do my customers need the app?

No. They scan your code or open your link in their browser, or, if you use an iPhone, hold their card or phone to it with Tap to Pay. Nothing for them to install.

Fees & payouts

What does Pavo cost?

One fee per payment, shown before you charge: 2.9% + 15¢ per tap, 3.5% + 30¢ by link or QR. Stripe’s processing cost is included. Current figures are always in the fees section of the home page.

Is there a contract or a monthly charge?

No. Pavo costs $0 a month: no contract, no minimum, no reader to buy. If you don’t get paid, neither do we. Pro is an optional paid plan that goes on sale January 1, 2027; it is on the pricing page.

When does the money arrive?

On its own, with no fee. Your first payout usually takes about a week. After that, 2 business days in the United States and Australia and 4 in New Zealand. In the United Kingdom, Ireland and the rest of the euro area, payouts take 7 days while you’re new, then 3 days. In the United States you can also withdraw to your bank yourself for 1% of the amount.

What if I refund someone?

Refund part or all of a sale from Activity on the web, in two taps. The money goes back to their card; the fee is not returned.

Where does Pavo work?

The United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Austria, France, Australia and New Zealand. Your bank account needs to be in the same country as your business. Tap to Pay on iPhone is in the United States for now. Elsewhere customers pay by link or QR code, for one fee with processing included: 2.9% + 20p in the United Kingdom, 2.9% + €0.25 in Ireland, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Austria and France, 2.9% + A$0.30 in Australia and 3.9% + NZ$0.30 in New Zealand.

Your account

I used Plus. Is my account still there?

Yes. Plus is now called Pavo. Same company, same account and the same payment history. Sign in the way you always have.

I don’t recognize a charge. Who do I ask?

If you paid a business that uses Pavo, the charge normally shows the business’s name, so contact that business first. If you still can’t place it, email [email protected] with the date and amount and we will identify it.

How do I delete my account?

In the Pavo app, open Settings and tap Delete account; the account closes right away and is erased after 30 days. Signing in again within those 30 days restores it. Or email [email protected] with the subject line “Request Account Deletion”; the steps are on our delete-account page. By email, we delete the account within 30 days.
